Dear Parents,

The Arts Academy @ Scottsdale PTA (AASC PTA) extends a warm welcome to those of you who are new to our school and a “welcome back” to all those returning. We hope you all had a great summer and are ready to delve into a new school year. We are lucky to have a fabulous group of Teachers and staff that are dedicated to guiding our children through their elementary school experience. We invite you to join us as we work together to enhance our children’s educational experience.

AASC PTA is a group of parents who are dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence that was established by the teachers and staff when we were CASY Country Day School. The change of our charter holder to PLC will bring professional management to our school, administration that is dedicated to providing a well rounded, stable, and quality elementary education and needed support to our wonderful staff.

The mission of the AASC PTA is: 

  • To listen to, understand and respect the needs of the children in our school. To represent their voice through parent/teacher involvement, fundraising and community outreach.
  • To make every family and staff member feel welcomed into the AASC PTA community.
  • To encourage all parents to volunteer some amount of time and/or resources toward the betterment of our children’s learning environment.

During the first weeks of school please look through this welcome packet. We ask our families to contribute their time and talents to push our school to ever higher academic and extracurricular heights. We hope that you will find a committee that interests you. As promised by Mr. B, fund raising will be minimal this year as we try to establish our goals and get to know PLC expectations and needs.

Your involvement with the AASC PTA will benefit everyone, but the greatest reward is seeing the smile on your child's face when you are involved in his or her world. So please join us in making this a successful year!
